Intensive Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets struck energy facilities, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults come after evenings of air raids in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to detect.

Authorities told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
